I blended a cup of homemade almond milk with a handful of frozen cherries, 3 soaked figs a little raw honey and a serving size scoop of (sugar free) chocolate organic whey protein powder from <a href="http://www.teraswhey.com" target="_blank">Tera's Whey</a>.&nbsp;<br /><br />Not only was it a fix for my sweet tooth, this whey protein (for me) really gives me a lot of fuel. Avocados are great for... lots of stuff! The list goes on and on, Jalapeno pepper is good for circulation and mint is great for your digestion. I add 2 parts boiling water to my oats and seal the container tight for 25 minutes off the heat. I mixed the almond butter with their coconut palm  syrup, so it was perfect. This was shared with 3 people. <br /><br />Coconut sugar is lower on the glycemic index  than regular sugar, which means it wont crack you out as much.  Honestly, I'm still looking into this statement for truth, but it sure  does taste great. Raw chocolate has great health benefits, and buying  from your local chocolatiers is good for the economy and health of your  community. It's kind of cold this morning. I've been missing winter, but  also trying to embrace the sunshine and dry weather for what it is. trying to. <br /><span></span>I like to cook a pot of plain beans, grain or legumes and keep it around for a few days while I work out different ways to incorporate it into my diet. For one, this is awesome because it provides me with a BPA-free way to enjoy beans that are already ready-to-go. This also let's me get creative because I have a pot of beans I don't want to go to waste. A couple years ago, I probably only ate mung beans in sprouts form or in kitchari. <br /><br /><span>This meal was awesome and warming. I cooked some onion and garlic (lots of garlic) with a little butter, added the mung beans to the pot with a little liquid (homemade stock, water, wine...). On a separate pan i lightly fried an egg.
